Cardiff Style was formed in 1978 by a group of women whose husbands were members of a male Barbershop chorus. As they were beginning to feel like "Barbershop Widows " instead of "Golf Widows", they decided to get in on the act and form their own chorus.
Over the years the chorus has competed in the Chorus Competition at the Annual LABBS Convention and has won the Phoenix Small Chorus Trophy on two occasions, the Red Rosettes Trophy and reached 9th place. In 2005 the chorus came top of Division III. Under the direction of our Chorus Director, Angela Palmer, Cardiff Style hopes to compete again this year in the LABBS Annual Chorus Competition to be held at Convention in Cheltenham in October and look forward to meeting old and new Barbershop friends.
Our members come from a wide area, mainly in Cardiff, Barry and the Vale of Glamorgan. We come from all walks of life and are of all ages but all share a love of singing, especially Barbershop!
The chorus is a very friendly and happy group and we give a warm welcome to all visitors and prospective new members,
